Facial Volume Loss

As we age, we lose subcutaneous tissue volume. The cheeks are less prominent and the jowels and cheek lines become more noticable.

Restylane and other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are used to plump individual lines such as the nasolabial lines (the lines between the nose and the corner of the mouth) and the marrionette lines (from the corner of the mouth downwards).

Sculptra, a new volume restoring agent, is used to add volume to broader areas of the face, thus, 'sculpting' the face with volume.

The most popular areas are: to increase the cheek bones, fill in under-eye hollows and add roundness to the lower face, thus, decreasing the jowl appearance.
