What is CoolSculpting?

It can be depressing to see unsightly fat bulges on your abdomen, thighs, upper arms, back, or under the chin. No matter how often you work out, or how carefully you watch your diet, some fat deposit just won’t go away. Our bodies are programmed to store fat to protect against the lean winter months – but with modern living, who needs it? At La Fontaine Aesthetics, we offer CoolSculpting in Denver to help patients restore the sculpted body you've always wanted.

How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting works to outsmart nature so you can finally have the trimmer body shape you want. Rather than using heat, scalpels, or liposuction, the system works by freezing targeted fat cells, which are then shed naturally by the body as waste.

You may not know that your body has a limited number of fat cells. When you gain weight, your existing fat cells are simply storing more fat, and when you lose weight, the same cells shrink. The beauty of the CoolSculpting system is that the actual, existing fat cells are reduced in number. Once they are shed by the body, they never return. Even if you gain some pounds in the future, the area treated will store less fat, as there are fewer cells available.

La Fontaine is among the most trusted CoolSculpting clinics in and around Denver for more than a decade. We can expedite our CoolSculpting treatments, as we have a dual CoolSculpting applicator system.

Before & After CoolSculpting

What areas can be treated with CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a body contouring procedure, not a weight loss program. The treatment is geared to sculpt specific body areas, including:

  • Love handles
  • Muffin top
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Tummy zone
  • Arms
  • Double chin
  • Neck
  • Bra rolls

While you will need a little patience, the results are well worth it. About 24 percent of the fat in the treated zone is reduced. Some patients come back for another treatment to achieve an even more dramatic reduction in body fat. What’s right for you? Meet with our friendly, approachable team and find out more about CoolSculpting in Denver at La Fontaine.

Our private, luxury clinic was founded to provide patients with the most effective, non-surgical treatments for the face and body. We are committed to staying at the forefront of modern aesthetic medicine.

What happens during treatment?

The procedure should not cause you any worry or stress. You will simply lie back on a treatment table and relax while our CoolSculpting technician gets to work. A gel pad and applicator are used to target the specific fatty areas you want to reduce. Controlled cooling is emitted from the device to freeze a percentage of the fat cells lingering in the zone being treated.

Initially you will feel a sensation of extreme cold, which quickly fades, as the cold has a numbing effect. A tugging sensation is part of the procedure as a vacuum system pulls the fatty zone upwards. Some patients experience this as a pinching sensation. Most of our patients just read, work on a device, or take advantage of the time to engage in a power nap.

What are the benefits of CoolSculpting?

  • Non-surgical
  • Non-invasive
  • Comfortable experience
  • No downtime
  • FDA-cleared
  • Safe
  • Helps trim, sculpt and refine the torso
  • Read, rest or watch movies during your session

Who makes a good candidate for CoolSculpting?

Are you one of the countless people who are at a healthy weight, but have pouches of fat that detract from your looks? CoolSculpting is FDA-approved and extremely safe for non-invasive fat loss. The device delivers a precise level of cold to the fat cells beneath your skin. These fat cells are crystalized with the cell wall damaged. Your body then slowly sheds the debris over the weeks and months ahead. Imagine looking at your body in the mirror each day and watching an area that has plagued you for years become slimmer and trimmer! Our patients tell us this is a very rewarding experience!

Is there any recovery or side effects for CoolSculpting?

After CoolSculpting in Denver, you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately after your session. The treatment can produce some mild side effects such as temporary redness, some minor swelling, blanched skin, minor bruising, a firm feeling to the treated area, tingling, stinging, or itching. These are all similar to how the body naturally responds to intense cold as it warms. Side effects typically fade away within a few days.

We always inform our patients about the risks of any procedure and are always available to answer questions and concerns. All of our procedures are overseen by our founder, board-certified physician Dr. Ken Oleszek, MD, and performed by our award-winning team.

FAQ CoolSculpting

What happens if I gain weight later?

Most clients who undergo CoolSculpting already have an exercise routine in place, and take even better care of their bodies after their treatment. However, if you do gain weight, that weight will be more evenly distributed across the torso. The areas that underwent CoolSculpting will continue to appear slim with less fat accumulation.

Is CoolSculpting different from liposuction?

Although both CoolSculpting and liposuction are effective for fat loss, liposuction is a surgical procedure with incisions and downtime. CoolSculpting is completely non-invasive, and you will be able to go back to work or school immediately after your session.

Can CoolSculpting be performed on men?

CoolSculpting can be performed on anyone who wishes to sculpt and streamline the torso non-invasively. Men can use CoolSculpting to increase definition in the stomach, the shoulders, the waist, the chest and the pecs.
