What is INTRAcel® RF Microneedling?

The INTRAcel® Fractional RF Therapy is a low-downtime option to help those who are looking to reduce facial fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and laxity. INTRAcel’s 49 insulated micro-needles bypass the skin surface to precisely deliver radiofrequency energy to selective skin depths. Because there is minimal damage to the skin surface, INTRAcel® has much less downtime than previous laser technologies like the fractional CO2 or Fraxel®. RF Microneedling can turn back time by treating a variety of skin care problems to restore your youthful appearance and glow.

What are the benefits of INTRAcel RF Microneedling?

RF Microneedling can produce new collagen and elastin, the main structural proteins found in your skin. Restoring collagen is the key to revitalizing your skin. It’s the perfect treatment for tightening and firming skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and acne scars. At La Fontaine in Denver, you can get all the benefits without the downtime associated with laser resurfacing or surgical facelifts.

Microneedling can improve a variety of skin care issues including:

  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Produce new collagen
  • Improve Acne scars
  • Improve skin's elasticity, tightening and smoothing of skin

How does Intracel RF Microneedling work?

Intracel RF Microneedling combines radio frequency technology, microneedling and fractional treatments, all in one procedure. Tiny needles penetrate deep into the skin and heat the tissue. The treatment is very targeted, which means the surrounding tissue will not be affected, improving the time it takes to recover.

What can I expect with my treatment?

The Intracel RF Microneedling is performed in Dr. Oleszek’s office. The procedure itself is relatively painless. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied to the area treated to ensure your comfort. When the procedure starts, you might feel a prickling sensation followed by a feeling of heat as the needles pass over the skin. This increases with the number of passes, but the treatment is very manageable. The treatment itself will last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on your skin care needs.

When can I see the result?

Patients can begin to feel their skin is smoother and tighter right after the first treatment. Results can vary depending on each person’s skin quality and the degree of damage that needs to be treated.

Are there any side effects?

Post-treatment you can expect to see tiny pinpoint bleeding which will resolve within a few minutes. For about an hour post-treatment, you may feel like you have been sunburned. This also will go away within the hour. The treated area might be red for a few hours; this is normal. Swelling is also a minor concern, especially if you’ve had a treatment under your eyes. You can expect it to resolve within one to two days.

How many treatments will I need?

Your skin quality will determine the number of treatments. Our team of professionals at La Fontaine will meet with you to discuss this during your consultation. Generally, you can expect two to five treatments to obtain maximum results.

Is the treatment safe?

Intracel RF Microneedling is safe; however, it is important to make sure you have a qualified doctor ensure that the different areas are treated at the correct levels.

Don’t just let anyone do your procedure.
